A conversation about your concerns and a walk through explanation of how we will do this together.
Sedation will be given to to ease any discomfort your companion may have. This is essential to creating a beautiful memory of your pet as they fall asleep peacefully.
The final injection will then take place once your furry companion is ready.
Keepsakes are offered as memorial gifts. These are optional but complimentary.
There are after care options available on our packages page. We will arrange pick up for you.
Pet grief counseling resources are provided.
A courtesy notification to your veterinarian of your pet’s passing for their records if you desire.
Dr. Ledain will typically request records from your primary veterinarian ahead of the appointment to be fully aware of your companion’s condition.
A conversation about your concerns and a full exam will be performed.
We will discuss the exam assessment and recommendations based on your companion’s quality of life.
These recommendations can include medication options, nutritional options, as well as considering humane euthanasia if your companion’s condition is too advanced for hospice therapy. If elected, the euthanasia can be done at that appointment or scheduled for a later time.
Most prescription medications can be called into your local pharmacy. Should injectable medications be preferred or indicated, then your primary care veterinarian can assist.
